Winter Steelhead Fishing in NorCal

WINTER (DECEMBER to FEBRUARY)

I fish for winter steelhead in Northern California on the American River in January and February. Winter fishing is known for heavy rains and high water causing rivers to look muddy brown depending on the flows. I can also fish for landlocked kings and trout at Folsom Lake year round and I’m the only permitted guide or concessionaire on the Lake.
